“Advanced Combustion Energy Science and Technology”, an innovation and introduction base program, applied by CCE successfully passed the evaluation of Program of Introducing Talents of Discipline to Universities in the year of 2013.

This Base attracts excellent scholars and experts in the world to carry out the research cooperation and academic exchange there, consisting of 17 members from overseas and 10 members from China. The latest research trends and the most advanced concepts will be introduced into the Base with the participation of program leader Professor Qiang Yao, CCE director Professor Chung-King Law and domestic talents professor Zheng Li, etc.

According to the program proposal, this Base will mainly focus on developing combustion theory, revealing internal regularity, exploring control methods for combustion process and emission in energy power devices, as well as chemical kinetics in combustion and combustion diagnostics. This program will introduce the latest discoveries, advanced educational concepts, research methods and outstanding talents into the Base and help to make its contribution to a deeper understanding of combustion theory, the development of clean energy, the cultivation of young talents and future leaders. This program will improve the combustion research in China to a world class level, and enable some of its research areas to be leader in the world. Meanwhile, the technological supports and strategic advice for the development of national energy and relevant areas in China will also be provided by the Base.
