2014-01-23

The Center for Combustion Energy (CCE) at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, aims to build a world-class center on research and graduate education in combustion science and energy (http://www.cce.tsinghua.edu.cn/en). A strong faculty base has already been assembled at the CCE on combustion chemistry and theory, coal combustion, internal combustion engines and combustion CFD. We are now seeking at least ten additional faculty appointments at all academic ranks* in a wide range of activities in combustion science and technology including: theoretical and experimental combustion chemistry, atmospheric pollutant chemistry, turbulent combustion, advanced experimental diagnostics, energy-related materials synthesis and catalytic processes, fire research, transport phenomena especially radiation and two-phase combustion, combustion of future fuels and in advanced engines, and transdisciplinary combustion involving reactions in, for example, biological, nuclear, plasma and astrophysical flows. Applicant should have a doctorate or equivalent, with a strong research and publication record. Applications from international colleagues are encouraged. The Center offers a competitive salary, generous start-up package, and on-campus housing. Send further inquiry to Professor C. K. Law, Director of the CCE, atcklaw@mail.tsinghua.edu.cn.
