Professor Chung K. Law, Director of CCE, visited Tianjin University and accepted an appointment as an honorary professor of Tianjin University on May 22, 2014.

Chairman Liu Jianping of the Tianjin University CPC Standing Committee, Dean of Mechanical Engineering Wang Shuxin, Vice Dean Yao Mingfa, etc. attended the appointment ceremony. Liu Jianping expressed his sincere congratulations to Prof. Law and highly praised Law’s academic achievement. Tianjin University has built the State Key Laboratory of Engines, which is the only State Key Laboratory for internal combustion engine (ICE) research in China, and built the Tianjin Chemical Synergy Innovation Center. Liu believed that guidance from Prof. Law can contribute to a long-term development of both Tianjin University and ICE research in China.

Prof. Law expressed his gratitude for the honour and highly praised the research work done by Tianjin University in combustion and chemical industry field. Prof. Law also expressed his wishes to further cooperate with Tianjin University and promote the development of combustion research. Liu issued a certificate of appointment to Prof. Law.at the end of the appointment ceremony.
